Description

The dataset represent records of Spring flowers collected through citizen science campaign "Jeste li ih vidjeli - proljetnice?" ("Did you see them - Spring flowers?"), organized by the Institute for Environment and Nature, Croatia. The Spring flowers records are reported by public through specific on-line form. This campaign has started on 1st of March 2024, but citizens were able to report old records as well. Each record should have an accompanying photograph, based on which record is validated by experts in the IEN.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 537 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Versions

The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Project Data

In this project the The Belgian BiodiversityPlatform (BBPF) transfers the knowledge and experience they have in the GBIFnode establishment to the newly established Croatian GBIF node. This is implemented through hands on workshop, where all relevant available information from the secretariat (i.e. strategic plan 23-27, workplan 23-27, the GBIF structure, Governing board, standards, data cleaning, data publishing, data papers, CESP, ECA nodes & the GBIF network, node meetings, nodes focus, ambassador program, mentor program, GBIF discourse community, GBIF Github repository, enlarging the national network) are discussed, and how those elements can be best implemented in the work of Croatian GBIF node. This project will support creation of formal collaboration for data mobilization in Croatia through networking and preparation of data mobilization strategy. At least one occurrence dataset on saproxylic beetles listed on the annexes of the EU Habitats Directive and at least one occurrence dataset on vascular flora species listed on the annexes of the Habitats Directive will be mobilized, with in total more than 10 000 records.
