Descripción
Within the project scope, existing data on fish species of Natura2000 sites in Croatia were analyzed and new field research was carried out in 2022 and 2023. The data on abundance and distribution of fish species of interest to the EU in the Natura2000 designated for fish species conservation were acquired. Based on the results, conservation objectives and measures for Natura2000 sites designated for fish species conservation were proposed. The data were acquired using different methodologies, depending on the target species. Methodologies are described in the project report.
Registros

Within the project scope, existing data on target fish species (listed in Annex II of the Habitats Directive) of Natura2000 sites in Croatia were analyzed and new field research was carried out in 2022 and 2023. The data on abundance and distribution of fish species of interest to the EU in the Natura2000 designated for fish species conservation were acquired. Based on the results, conservation objectives and measures for Natura2000 sites designated for fish species conservation were proposed. Métodos de muestreo
Sampling methodologies are described in the project report (in Croatian). In general, areas with insufficient data were identified within each Natura2000 site designated for conservation of freshwater fish species listed on the annexes of the EU Habitats Directive. On these sites new field research was performed.
Área de Estudio | Natura2000 sites in all of Croatia |

Descripción de la metodología paso a paso:
- 1. Desktop analysis of existing data on fish species of EU interest 2. Identification of areas ( grid cells) with insufficient data 3. Field research targeted to the grid cells with the least data using different methodologies, depending on the species concerned, performed by fish species experts 4. Identification validation performed by a fish species expert 5. Data structured in an appropriate format and matched to DwC
