Description
Within the framework of the OPKK project "Development of the System for Monitoring the Status of Species and Habitat Types" - GROUP 7: "Creation and Development of Monitoring Programs for Lutra lutra with Capacity Building for Stakeholders in the Monitoring and Reporting System," new data on the abundance and distribution of Lutra lutra of interest to the EU were gathered. These data were collected using methods described in the proposed monitoring program, aiming to test adequacy for long-term monitoring of species conservation status. This dataset includes observations of Lutra lutra during 2022-2023.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 647 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

- Records are result of the project carried out by Institute for Environment and Nature, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition, a Croatian GBIF node. Experts for concerned taxonomic group carried out field research. Species identifications are validated by an expert. Records were structured in the table form and interpreted and entered in the appropriate format and mapped to DarwinCore
